so we are making it up as we go...i want to do some sort of schooling this summer....we need to keep up with reading and math for jack and esme is on the cusp of putting so much together in the reading world i want to ride that wave....
but it is SUMMER!!!
so far they read something to me each day....and we have been playing games
this one i believe will become a favorite ...they played it off and on all day...
i found them from a math mom blog...of sorts
there are 3 levels...we have the first 2...equilibria is for esme age and is very structural in nature and then architecto (i think) is jack's level and is making 3d models...
each model stands up and esme you can see each part and it is a balancing act at times...jack's pictures look like a model...a blob sometimes and he has to figure out how to make his shapes into their shapes by putting them together...
jack enjoyed esme's and his....
esme just loved hers (possibly bc it was 'hers') =)
anywho...AWESOME game...they kids loved it...i am not sure how many computations there are ...but each one become progressively more difficult...

Ok...this is VERY random, I know...but I am a college friend of Janet Anwar's...and ions ago, I began reading your blog...on her recommendation. It makes me smile. :) So I am a HUGE fan of these games! We own all 3. Bought them once when there was a sale at Barnes & Noble. Not only do they entertain kids...but they are VERY popular with college students. We used to have Mercer University students live with us, and there were some seriously tense, hilarious competitions with these things! The nice thing is that the pieces all correlate...so you can have 3 different people working off the same puzzle at once. At any rate...love, love them. We have 2 girls, ages 4 and 7...and they have enjoyed them just as much. Keep writing, and know that you have a fan in Macon, GA!
