o my, i didn’t have my camera set at all correctly, so these pictures are all a little too bright or a little too dark! o well!

this book was WONDERFUL!!!

such a testament to the American spirit and history…loved it.



being so close to Halloween we decided to recap lots of the books we have read over the past 3 years…so after book clubbing, the kids wandered from tree to tree where candy related to many of the books were hung from trees…

it was slightly a crazy but fun nonetheless…

making necklaces for book club

found some scrap leather and cut out leaves…they the kids added charms relating to the books! will take a photo of some of their finished products tomorrow…they turned out pretty good!

ok..if you ever need a mohawk or spikes…look no further for a recipe…

egg white, corn starch and elmers glue…kinda amazing…the spikes actually hurt! ha!

 

 

 

we all love being around the fire

it somehow changes the atmosphere for all of us…

it is easy to feel like we are doing something important just because we are close to the fire =)

and dinner! chicken, sweet potatoes and greens all from the garden!

these things are some fall moments to me....

it wasn't even that cold today...but windy and misty...so we made a fire...and it was so lovely...esme played with building magnets, jack wrote his book and titus kept me company at the counter while i made dinner... in between helping esme with her creation =)

the fire just adds this peace to our house...we all just want to be beside it!

here are esme and her buddies from school before going to the taylor swift concert! they were so very excited...

and my sweet friend heidi who invited us to go...i LOVE this crazy lady...she is such a kindred spirit in so many ways!

here are some snaps of our kitchen while i put flowers together for Olivia's wedding yesterday! it all went off beautifully ...jack played while people sat down at the beginning and then while the bride and groom walked out...it was so beautiful!

i made beef pies, apple pies...anything i can find to stick in pastry honestly...i love pies!

this was our first fire this season =)
