les mis

i went to see les mis with my friend kelly a few nights ago...and titus =) who beautifully slept throughout it...
i have never been to a movie that i knew EVERY single word...
and i am also never been to a movie that i sobbed so much...nearly the whole time.
i cried bc of the moment we were in
i cried bc i knew what was to come
i cried bc i first saw les mis in london with my mum years and years ago
i cried bc i read it when in india cradling dying people during the day and weeping into les mis at night
i cried bc it mirrors the life of Christ in many ways to me...forgiveness, grace beyond measure, sacrifice, LOVE
basically i wept with joy and sadness and loss and hope...and walked out sopping wet...
and so very fulfilled.

it isn't always an easy to book to get through (hugo can wax a little long in the war scenes) but if you choose to read it, it will change your life.....truly change the way you look at life. 
i am not the same person bc of this book...and the play/movie reflect the passions and truths within it.

at the very least, see the movie....

even thoigh we didnt get this to work perfectly it was a great project to practice trial and error! we also tried scoring with a glass cutter
 

 

breaking bottles

hmmm...we tried this over and over and really to no avail
we watched plenty of youtubes but it still broke crooked for us...
the process is to wrap string where u want bottle to break
take it off
submerge in acetone
replace string
light on fire
spin bottle
drop into cold water when flame dies down

it broke for us!!! just not straight
jack sure did have fun with the flaming bottle ;)
