Like a Puppy =)

i found this nerf ball and had a Cash dejavu....thinking only she would chew it up into small pieces...but no! it was my little monkey esme! she is a chewer =)

yay! i found it!

jack is going home with grace today for a couple days and as i was transferring the car seat, i found the battery for the phone! yay! so, as he was driving out and waving...i started to cry...i just love him so much and i know that is silly really to start crying when i see him all the time...but i miss him! goodness, i miss the kids when they take super long naps!!! i keep telling myself that it is good for jack though...he gets to spend time with his grandparents and that is great...and feel independent...and we are going to england for a week...i dont' know how i'll manage without him! but a trial run will be good...and on top of all that, i know many moms who don't see their kids all day every day!!! how hard that must be!!! so i am blessed blessed blessed....
just a little sad right now.

kelley, grammy, unclematt, daddy and andy came tonight and gave jack such fun gifts....andy gave josh a gift too....a massage =) he liked that.

Jack's Birthday!

well, the wind tunnel wasn't really a wind tunnel =), the sheet was too heavy and the fan not too strong...but it was fun to play underneath it i think =) i love watching kids play....how they warm up to new people and places so fast, what they choose to play with, how such little things can make them happy. the chickens are always a hit..i mean, really, who needs chunky-cheese or party favors...just grab a couple chickens and there is your entertainment AND clean up crew! =) well, except for the pooping...that's a minor bother =)

Party Hats

i spent so much time on the counter today that i am improvising the rest now that jack is asleep...these will be his party hats...made from his tractor calendar which is now obselete =) i think they are kinda spiffy

Almost FInished

josh made jack a mallet today! how fun that he'll have a work bench and a mallet for his bday =) i didn't finish painting it and as he saw it and was so excited mommy made him a workbench, i decided the kitchen counter would have to wait =)

What i will do....

to talk on the phone.
today, i wanted to chat with my sister in law molly....so i let jack and esme eat tang powder...which ended up on the floor...with jack licking the floor! and esme moved on to puncturing small holes in the bag of baby wipes and sucking out the juice!
but i got to chat! =)

A Delicious Evening

we went for a walk this evening...amongst the beech trees...jack loves getting off the trail and into the woods...sliding down the hills on the wet leaves...little adventurer =)
joan gave him glow sticks for Christmas and he broke into them tonight (i was saving them for New Years but there you go) i actually took this photo in the dark...but the flash tells a different story...and then esme wanted to wear it first then eat it =)
little ez is fast asleep...and jack is being sung to sleep by our nightly noise lullaby...in his squirrel loft. =) we are so blessed.

david stopped by when we got home from church today and brought some thrift shoppped surprises for josh....very fun...and cookies !!! yummy!
i have been out in the cob making the kids a "kitchen counter" thing for their playroom now that the big table/door is gone...it is very rough...i'm using old wood josh brought home from work as firewood...=) but i think with a coat of paint it will be pretty =)
i can't find the battery for my cell phone...esme was chewing on it in the car and alas, it has vanished...hopefully not down in her tummy! that was a couple days ago....hmmm...anywho..i am checking messages remotely but haven't called people back! sorry!

jackie asleep...it is his bday in 2 days!!! amazing we almost have a 3 year old! i am going to buy a square fan and get out sheets and make wind tunnels for his bday! mabry and evy are coming to play and i thought i'd ask a few others..i just haven't gotten around to it yet! i hope this lackadasical approach doesn't continue through the years....poor jackie if so!
