the new flashlights...and a new porch!
well, good afternoon!
we have had a lovely lovely couple of days....
last night, josh had the truest of plans to stay in and be quiet =)
but was thwarted by his loving wife =)
his bday was last week and i realized that we just didn't do anything for it! we were in columbus and i just kept forgetting to plan something later!
anywho....last night at the last minute i thought i'd ask david and katy over (i reallly really needed to catch up on wedding ideas in her head anyway!) and david and kory and jessica and adam and kelley...
josh just loved it and laughed so hard as i have'nt heard him in ages...it was great =)
and then this morning we've had boys wed morning with asa and amy..
jack so looks forward to this...we made flashlights and shot off pears in the potato gun =)
and now we are thinking of going to early vote =)

dangerous wed boys morning =)
wed mornings we get together with amy and asa...for a boys morning...
today we shot pears and potatoes up the road and then created a pocket flashlight from an altoid tin and some wires and a battery!
it was such fun!
for a short while amy and i were more into the process than the boys...exploring the windy woods was just too tantalizing =) but as soon as they saw "the light" they were all excited again...
we ended up using christmas lights....and later even after they left discovered lots of old colored lights in the house which jack as been trading in and out all day...
basically, the process was soldering some wires to one end of a 9 volt battery (or using elec tape) and then running the wire to the bulb and then another wire back to the 9volt again....
it was super!
amy let me borrow her book from whence it came...i feel there are many more fun wednesdays ahead =)
