verdict is still out...
i wanted something for jack that was more challenging than the regular legos (bc he goes through them so fast and they are not cheap!!!)
but i don't think this will be it...
i found a set of 3 on ebay for 10 dollars...
so it was worth a try..but they are too difficult for him so the joy is not there..
the directions are just a couple pictures...and they are difficult to decifer...i had a hard time!
no alas, no nanoblocks for us...at least not yet!

You should get him into the Technic Lego sets. They're more advanced Lego building sets, with cool features like pneumatic powered components, battery driven motors, etc. They have basic sets, which are small and cheaper, and then they have larger sets which are pretty complex (and fairly expensive.) I still have the Technic set I got in England, many years ago. It's still in its box and organized, and it's always been my favorite building set. I also have a space set with light and sound, among other things. :)
ReplyDeleteOr, as an alternative to the Technic sets, try one of the Bionicle sets. Or if you really want a challenge, get him into the Lego Mindstorms (although they might be a bit advanced for him.) The Mindstorms are robots that you build and control.
