A Sheep Named Esme!

our friend diane who has the cutest babydoll sheep ever just had a little lamb born...and named her esme! we had such fun "chasing" and feeding the sheep cookies that i didn't take a lot of photos...
her potbelly pig (who is actually a mix..looks like the warthog from the lion king to me!) named porsha just had babies too! aren't they adorable! there is a runt who couldn't stand when she was born so diane has her inside and is raising her on a bottle...jack loved holding her.
pigs are quite amazing creatures...so smart and with so much personality...mamma piggie lets her babies nurse 4 times a day...lays down and makes this grunting noise and they come running...and she can hold back if she doesn't want them to nurse which i imagine makes weening quite easy. porsha taught diane her own sign language...nods her head one way for more food...and makes a sucking noise when diane starts to talk about babies...human or pig or otherwise! it was such a fun visit...short but fun...
