Thanksgiving chatting and catching up

the adams are such a neat family but all so busy ...
so i think this was such a wonderful time for everyone to chat and catch up on eachother's lives...
i was of course the papperatzi..how in the world do you spell that!

Thanksgiving Dinner

at bob and susan's house...
we all brought dishes to go with the turkey susan cooked...
it was delicious...if not eaten rather quickly for me...little esme gets tired and then the world must halt and take care of her needs =)

the kids found the exercise balls in the corner and i think that was even better than the pool!

little jack and wesley were good to let esme hang with them some of the time..
wesley especially was so sweet to her...
she started crossing her arms to make a point...and her arms are so little it is just so funny...
here they are snuggling on the couch...and another where she is licking me all over my face...
to get my FULL attention...
and the last is in the club house after we'd swam and took exercise classes (which i baled out of half way! sheesh!)
and then showered! ahhh,,, it felt wonderful...

In the village

to the toy/candy store(which didn't last long for us bc all the candy was esme height...ha! she just kept grabbing and eating!)

The other side

of the beach area is the marshy or lagoon area....there are ponds all over the island that have alligators in them...though i never saw one...josh did!
crabs and a wonderful variety of birds...it is a lot like an african excursion in so many ways...at least it feels so much like one!

Bikes on the Beach

so it was chilly in the mornings but we are early risers so would get out with the bikes and ride...
wesley and family rented a tandem which i sooo want to get for jack ...
he loved being attached and it meant we could ride for a long long time...
esme took her morning naps in her chariot, all bundled up and with snacks for her queenship...
we collected shells and driftwood...and just enjoyed the wonderful mornings...
even though jack often ended up with my socks on his paws bc the wind was so strong!

Dinner at the Ocean Club

i think...
each night i baled early bc esme just couldn't stay up for the fun...bc she'd had so much of it during the day....
but i honestly loved getting to bed early to have energy for all we packed into each day! it was very restful.
but the last night, susan found a really nice babysitter, the kids were asleep, so i snuck out with the remaining family members (many had headed home already)
it was sooo nice!
i had to take this photo of the steak bc i have never seen one so large! i think almost a half cow was represented on our table...
not in front of me however, i ordered poached salmon which was scrumptious ...and enough to eat for breakfast with fresh pomegranite and carrot juice the next morning... (the kids loved it...they like quirky breakfasts...)

Beach and the wonderful house we stayed in

oo, i can't stand to end a sentence with a preposition...but i do it all the time! lazy i think =)
anywho...so the water was 61 degrees!!!! and the kids didn't seem to mind at all!
the bottom 2 photos are hte place we stayed...some friends of bob and susan's home...it was great...
very kid friendly (accept for the alligator we were warned about just behind the house ) ha!
josh's cousin jimmy and his family...laura, his wife and wesley their son also stayed there and that was GREAT...jack is going to have withdrawls...they had such a good time!
