this and that....
i love when there are just a bunch of people who i love ...all doing their thing in a big room...
chatting playing the violin (and jack's newest instrument the pipe...a hose from a pump that sounds like a whale when you blow through it) esme twirling, the fire crackling (it was COLD up there), cooking, reading.....
we just all hung out and it was so lovely....
i found out just before we left that josh invited a few folks to come up....and i loved it...
and so wonderful that schedules worked for it to happen! seeing as how it was right in the middle of the week!
we have talked about asking chrys for a weekend so we could ask all our other buddies and family who have weekends off...

chrys and sam to visit
this is chrys street....i met her when i was in highschool at church...
she and her husband john were just interesting people....they became good friends of our whole family...
she and i have kept in touch through the years...mostly through letters and cards...
but her husband john died this past year, so she and her friend sam traveled together to their alma mata of auburn for their 60th class reunion!!!!
and to deliver scads of books to their library...
chrys and john over the years have done much to furnish entire sections of that library
anywho...
they stopped by for a visit and beckie let us into the farmhouse way after hours to eat some leftovers...
if was so fun...
it is chrys who owns glencove...the cabin i love so much
and we head up there tomorrow!!!!
bc my birthday is wednesday! yay!
i'll be 35 years of age =)
and i am quite excited about being up there with family and some friends!!!!
yay!

we have started letting out beckie's chickens...
and of course they love the garden center!
they first dig up the little garden right outside the fence....and then hop up on the tables and knock stuff over, lay an egg or 2 here and there...and then have a nice drink from the bird bath =)
the folks who come by love them so that is good...

we sat and chatted and it was GREAT!!!
and watching josh and bryce together is so fun...they have been friends for such a long time that they have such similar ways and then quiet understanding ways with eachother too...
beth is a just a beautiful human being...so happy and full of life...
my kids were sad to see her and "her baby and eli" go today
esme LOVES sam,,their youngest and keeps asking us in a very determined way
"mama, daddy, when can I have my OWN REAL baby!!!!????"
