Last day of camp
We all wore the shirts the kids made and rode bikes at callaway with watermelon to finish off the day it was such fun!

now before it looks too much like i know what i am doing...let me assure you...i don't =)
i have read enough to figure out some things...but am still in clare fashion disregarding bits of it bc it seems like i could bypass a step here or there =)
and here's the thing...
i have thought lately about why is it that often i will find a quicker way to an end...and not have to have things perfectly...and how that can be annoying to watch or experience for others if they are not similar.
so why am i like this?
well, i don't really know but i think it is wrapped up in wanting to experience so much...
and realizing that life here on earth is jsut this delicious segment we've been given...
and if i want to try out all sorts of things then i have to sacrifice (or at least i choose to) some of the particulars and just jump in and work with what i have...
bc if i waited until i really understood it all or waiting until i had all the exact materials or ingredients or waited until i could do a project uninterrupted, well, i'd never get much done!
for example...i washed and picked out grass and such from wool from last year's shearing...and bc i didn't exactly have it all picked clean it has sat there...waiting to be dyed...
so this year...we picked it as clean as we could...washed it 8 times in the bath...and then with soap and vinegar in batches in the sink...and then esme and i started pouring in rit dye...and drying it outside!@
and i love it!
i will card it next with the kids...and then i have no idea!
anybody know how to spin???

the family pet
josh gets home and showers and then snuggles and wrestles with the big kids before bed...then he comes in for some titus time...those 2 have such a special relationship...jsut so sweet...
and esme just ADORES titus...every now and then she will complain that he pulled her hair but that is usually when she is tired...
titus is like her favorite toy as well as he beloved...
she carries him around everywhere...and he wants to be there alongside her...

more photosynthesis tshirts
so i hear people say all the time they don't get on pinterest bc they get too overwhelmed...
now i am the first to get overwhelmed with ....laundry...or dishes....or the floor that no matter how many times i sweep and mop it is STILL dirty....
but pinterest????
i think that site is so fun and fascinating...
i hop on probably every few nights and type in something random that the kids have been wondering about ...or i want ideas on...
and this one has been such a hit
we made tshirts for the talent show, for jack's triathalon, for our little co op with leaves on them...and now for our science camp ...these are trees which we then tye dyed...(thanks sue!)
the plan is to write photosynthesis on them...so when people see the kids with the shirts they might say
'cool...what is photosynthesis...or tell me about that?'
so if you out there see one of these shirts...ask that question =) it will make us moms and dads happy =)

this guy loooves water....all over his face, splashing on his face, falling into the water at the pool (i am standing right there)...he LOVES it...

he pretty much always has something in his mouth...and this day it was a potato =)
he kept up with it for a long while until i found it discarded amongst some of jack and esme's toys ..
there is something good about this however...if he has a potato in his mouth he can't fit a small lego, penny or even an insect!
the bottom pics are ones i just love...of jack giving his brother a bath...
i stared at them and couldn't help thinking of them years from now...
