we found this little puppy on craigslist....josh went to choose her from a litter of 10 this morning ...
she is a belgian malinoi ...a lot like a shepherd...
we think she'll be pretty big as mom and dad were fairly huge...she is playful and happy and so snuggly and falls asleep a lot =)
jack adores her and esme is a little skiddish but she'll come around...
she had some not so great interactions with dogs when she was a little younger and it has affected her like of dogs for sure....
but stella will win her heart =)

Well-raised and trained Malinois are usually active, friendly, protective and hard-working. Many have excessively high prey drive. Some may be excessively exuberant or playful, especially when young. They can be destructive or develop neurotic behaviors if not provided enough stimulation and exercise. These are large, strong dogs that require consistent obedience training, and enjoy being challenged with new tasks. They are known as being very easy to obedience train, due to their high drive for rewards.
So you guys had better keep her entertained, so she doesn't go all neurotic and eat your livestock! lol
Properly trained though, she'll make an excellent guard dog. :)
