Horseback riding

the day we left for the beach, cameron and i took the kids to a local place to ride this wonderful scottish highland horse named clover...and jack loved it! i was so surprised!
we feed red, the horse down the road from us a lot...and he is usually a little timid of him...but he was all about being a cowboy and riding clover!
there was also a bucket truck there...which was just as much fun =)

Their first real look at the ocean

we went to the beach before esme was born but i dont' think jack was old enough to remember...
bc we saw a pond and he said "yay! the beach!"
but now that he has experienced the actual ocean, i dont' think he'll ever forget...
he said "mommy, it is ....lovely!"
bless his little i-have-english-influence-in-me-somewhere-heart!
it didnt' matter how cold it was, neither of them wanted to leave the beach...it was a magical place!
and tulula...such a sweet little dog!

Turkey Trot

so a bunch of us decided to run the 5k on thanksgiving morning...
and even though both josh and i have hands on the stroller, i did not push it...
and am so glad bc i hardly ran it all without it!
and any other day esme can sit and ride happily for al ong time...
but this day of course she had to get out before it was finished so josh ended up with her on her shoulders while running and pushing jack...
